The Brownstone House Family Restaurant

Super friendly staff, the food was piping hot. I had the cream of broccoli soup which was SO good and hit the spot on a frigid day. And I also tried the special meatloaf marsala. So yummy and HUGE portion. I only deducted one star because it was pretty cold inside and the bathroom was ice cold and needed some serious updating. But I'll Definitely be back. I was sad there weren't more people dining, I would Definitely recommend this restaurant!

The Brownstone House Family Restaurant in Guilford is an excellent choice for a great breakfast experience. The inside decor is lovely; the seating cozy and comfortable. In addition to the restaurant menu they have specials as well. Service was very friendly, and prompt. We went with the Chorizo Omelette and the Ham + Avocado + Tomato Omelette. Both were most excellent. Highly recommended.

Stopped for a lobster roll. Nice eatery for lunch. Not too far off of the interstate, so location good. Wait staff friendly, they let me charge my phone there. Not too busy on a Tuesday around 2pm. The lobster roll was good, nothing fancy, but solid. Cole slaw good. Sweet potatoes fries slightly too thin and crispy but that's personal preference. A negative was the iced tea. I asked for unsweetened without lemon but didn't ask if it was house brewed. It was NOT and had a faint taste of lemon as found in the mix, so not happy with that. Another negative: The bathroom was dirty- the subway tiles had dirt smudges. Overall, I was satisfied with choosing this place to eat my lunch. Bonus: right across the street is an ice cream store.

I've lived in the area for almost a decade and I'm ashamed it took me so long to try the brownstone house! The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the restaurant itself was cozy and homey. I can't wait to go back and try more from their menu!

Food was so delicious. The staff was very friendly. The service was quick food came out quick. I love their coffee..Was our first time there. Wish we lived closer cause I'd definitely would go back again. I highly recommend this place.
