The Boathouse DeRuyter Lake

The Boathouse on DeRuyter Lake is a true hidden gem. Owner Theresa has magic in her fingertips—every dish that comes out of her kitchen is nothing short of incredible. The menu is creative and distinctive, setting her apart from the rest. Add to that a warm, welcoming staff and an unbeatable lakeside atmosphere, and you’ve got something really special. The setting, the food, the people—it’s all part of what makes this place feel like home. We’re always treated like family.

I came to the Boathouse for a 1 year old birthday party. Theresa, the owner, was lovely. She let my daughters help her and follow her all around. The food was delectable and everything was set up adorably. Definitely would recommend!

The BH did a fabulous job handling the Center4Arts Celebration for Ty that was held there last night. Great view, lots of outdoor seating. The homemade blueberry pie and homemade vanilla ice cream served for dessert were so delicious. The staff - helpful and very friendly. Great time!

Definitely going on the will go back list! Lovely setting, friendly staff and an owner who took the time to come check in. Was a last minute choice on our part and weren’t too sure what to expect but definitely glad we visited!

Great atmosphere. Prefer 100% hamburger and no panko. Coconut shrimp should have been served with the sauce they provided but also cocktail sauce. Need to have clean area when you first enter not vacuum and other items. Or put them behind curtain or divider.
