The Bismarck Bed & Breakfast

We were going on a little two day getaway and decided on the Bismarck for our accommodations. The host, Charlotte, was very welcoming and gave us a tour and history of the home. Our room was so comfy and well appointed. We had two nights of great sleep! There is a small gathering room on the same floor were we could get coffee, tea, and use of a small refrigerator. The breakfasts were delicious, and a great start to our day. We especially enjoyed getting to meet Josephine! We enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again.

This is a cozy, beautiful B&B right on the main stretch through Hamburg. The road may be busy but you can't hear it inside the mansion! Our host, Charlotte, was very friendly. We learned the history of the home & area while enjoying her delicious fresh breakfast! Our room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the photos on the wall. Definitely a place to stay if you're in the area.

Charlotte is a super host ! So kind and incredibly detail oriented. Her egg baked ham and cheese is delicious the house has so much history once you come into the estate you’ll understand a little ire about Hamburg and it’s inhabitants the people here are so warm and inviting. I’m counting down the days to come back. I want to do a little more exploration around the area and the Appalachian trials, the hawk sanctuary and the railroad museum Cabelas, maybe wihen the weather breaks.

This is a fabulous B&B that we liked so much we stayed an extra night. The king bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed. The adjacent sitting room had a fridge, snacks, hiker box, and Keurig coffee maker. The ensuite bathroom had original fixtures so beware you must be agile to step in/out of the tub/shower. Shampoo, conditioner and soap were provided. The tasty breakfast was served at a time of our choosing by the delightful host. The house and its furnishings were gorgeous. Nearby attractions we recommend are Hersheys Chocolate World, Martin Guitar factory, Cabelas, Appalachian trail, Longwood Gardens, and the Hawk Mountain Sancturary. We heard the Deitsch Eck Restaurant and the Yuengling factory tour were good. We felt well cared for at this B&B and we hope to return.

Charlotte's B&B is an excellent spot to stay. There are little touches of luxury throughout the house and your room that shows extra care for her guests. Her breakfast was delicious and the house was beautiful. I appreciated how she's kept the charm of the house yet still has some luxurious modern amenities.
