The Belvedere Inn at Merriam House

My dad and I stayed here for two nights, and it was endlessly comfortable, relaxing and fun. The owners are friendly and know a lot about the history of the place, and their attention to detail is crazy. The decor is beautiful, they have such a lovely sitting room that was perfect for talking and chilling and even getting some work done. The food was amazing too, I really looked forward to breakfast, it surprised us how pretty and delicious it was for a bed and breakfast, where you'd bormally expect a couple pastries or some scrambled eggs. Excuse the picture I took of the eggs benedict, I was hungry lol. The rooms themselves were so comfy, I got great sleep. Overall a super inviting place, reasonably priced, I'd absolutely stay here again.

Everything we hoped for and more. The location was walking distance to everything so we were able to park on-site and leave the car. Our room and the whole house, actually, was beautiful and the hosts were fantastic. Breakfast was planned to our preferences - best eggs Benny ever! I will stay here next time I am in Oswego.

My husband grew up in Oswego so we have many reasons to visit. Was thrilled to find a new option which will now be our go-to. The Belvedere Inn is a beautiful Victorian, well-maintained and decorated. The hosts, Jennifer and Jake made us feel immediately welcome and that continued throughout our stay. Room was lovely, bed was comfy, and breakfast was delicious. On the coldest weekend of the winter, the stay was incredibly warm with both heat and hospitality. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the inn from Jan 17- 21, 2026. The room we were in was warm and inviting and had an attached room for our daughters stay.Jennifer and Jake, the innkeepers, were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing and they catered to my gluten free diet. We will definately stay here again.

We recently had an overnight at this bed and breakfast, it was a wonderful experience. The Inn is beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and breakfast was outstanding. We also loved how close it was to local restaurants and shopping. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay in Oswego this is it! Thank you Jen and Jake!
