The Bayou Restaurant & Tiki Bar

My husband and I went to The Bayou for lunch Friday. We have been several times. The atmosphere is always wonderful no matter what time of day. The view is beautiful. The new owners have really paid attention to their patrons food recommendations since the reopen. My husband was pleased to find out the now offer the chicken alfredo for lunch where I believe they only offered jt for dinner before. He said they have perfected it. I have ordered the Mahi tacos a few times and they are better each time. All the wait staff is friendly and attentive. On the weekends they have live bands that have never disappointed and in my opinion the best bushwhackers on the coast.

We drove over from Dauphin Island for Sunday lunch. We ordered crawfish etouffee, fried mushrooms, blackened Mahi tacos and bananas foster beignets. Everything was delicious. Our server April, was attentive and charming. Great chill vibe. Will definitely return!

We visited the newly remodeled restaurant that’s under new ownership. The food was great, atmosphere was very nice, and the service was attentive and friendly. We had trout bowl with mashed potatoes and gumbo, mahi mahi tacos, coconut shrimp, chicken tenders, shrimp and grits, and ahi tuna nachos. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the prices were very reasonable. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Service was fair but not the greatest. Food was delicious and plentiful. On the higher end for prices but the live band atmosphere is worth it.. Definitely could have been a 5 star but unfortunately didn't follow through with everything we ordered... But don't let my experience change your mind because it was still a really good place to eat and I will definitely go back...

Stopped by the newly renovated Bayou Tiki Bar and y’all… they did a great job. The place looks fantastic inside and out, and the new tiki bar is exactly what you hope for when you hear “tiki bar on the Gulf Coast.” It’s beautiful, relaxed, and makes you want to stay a while. The food came out hot and delicious. I ordered the debris po’boy and it was really good. My only tiny complaint was no Blue Plate mayo on it — and down here that’s almost a personality trait 😄 — but I’m sure if I had asked they would have happily brought some out. They’re still working through some staffing things (like a lot of places these days), but you can tell the staff genuinely wants you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself. Everyone was friendly and trying their best to take care of guests. The new tiki bar
