The Banner Pub and Cafe

The banner is perhaps one of the oldest bars in Rockland mass. It's been done over. A lot Brighter. A good gathering for friends to see a friends band. Very local bar. The food took a long time to come out and it was so so bar food. Ordered pizza which seemed as if out of a box. Other food looked ok but I didn't order. I only had a couple of beers which were cold and there was no wait. Bathrooms were clean. Outside seating if you got too hot. Not a bad place to hang. Nostalgic if you are from the area.

Nice place to watch sports. Kind Staff, tasteful and generous portions of food, good beers variety.

We went for $3.00 taco night because we didn't want to cook. The food was very good. Large variety of tacos to choose from. Surprise being a rueben taco - ordered by two at our table and enjoyed. Have had steak tips before as well. Also very good. Nice, unpretentious place to sit and have a beer and tasty bites.

Yesterday was my first time here, it was great. #1 THE BATTER IS AMAZING! #2 PORTIONS ARE HUGE! #3 LOW PRICES! I had the fish and chips cooked perfectly, the chicken fingers (which were basically full breasts real chicken) and the mozzarella sticks (I’ve never seen such big mozzarella sticks and they were so fresh!) If you’re into authentic pubs, casual and even a bit rugged, this is the place. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I’ll be back. It’s got live music, 2 pool tables and a juke box.

Re-openned under new ownership. Great pub menu with very tasty food and reasonable prices. St Patty's drink specials were a nice touch. Had the Adult Shamrock Shake. Yum Staff is great. Friendly and welcoming!
