The Backwoods Bar & Grill

Great food & service. Restrooms clean. Beers cold. There is a bar area and then a seperated area with just tables if you're with kiddos. Outside patio for warmer weather. We enjoyed the deep fried deviled eggs and patty melt special. Large enough portions we took home some to have again at supper. Located just a dog's leg from 77 and easy to get back on the highway if you're traveling.

Six of us (4 adults and 2 teenagers) stopped in for dinner. The appetizer menu drew me in and they did not disappoint! We shared cheese curds, fried banana peppers, fried pickles and fried deviled eggs. They came out fast, hot, and delicious. Everything was good! I had the Monte Cristo made with sweet Hawaiian bread... very good. I tried the hot bologna and I've never had better. Thick, deep-fried slice on Hawaiian bun, wow! My daughter-in-law shared the smothered chicken with my granddaughter. My wife and grandson had different types of burgers. The sandwiches all came with handcut potatoe chips. Everybody was happy. Our sever was friendly, attentive and efficient. The only disappointing thing is that we didn't have room for desert. If we lived closer this would be a regular stop.

Stopped for lunch earlier going to Ohio from North Carolina. I can't believe they don't have a sign from the highway. Luckily I found it beforehand on Google maps. Burgers were delicious and juicy, tasty fries and great ranch also. Potato skins and boneless wings also pretty tasty. Pool tables and a bar on the left, dining room on the right. Highly recommend since there is little to no food options coming up 77 on that stretch. Super friendly waitress and staff.

This is an awesome place. Great food choices eagerness to accommodate dietary restrictions. Kid friendly made our grandson’s feel really special. Definitely a great place to stop. Kacie our waitress was the best, very friendly, attentive. This is definitely a place that you won’t want to miss. There’s a bar attached as well which we didn’t get enjoy, but seems like a very nice place playing great music, several pool tables and look like people are having a great time place is also very clean and it has very clean bathrooms.

The burger was perfectly cooked, nice soft bun and good flavor. Wings were good, as were the fried pickles. Prices were reasonable. Friendly service! We will definitely keep this one on the map for future stops along Interstate 77.
