My wife and I spent 3 great nights at the Atlantic Inn recently. It was the first time in 12 years that we had been to Hatteras. Pam and John were wonderful hosts. The accommodations were comfortable and relaxing. The breakfasts were excellent. Fresh and made to order every morning. Pam and John could not have been more friendly and interesting to talk to. We hope to get back soon.

In 2 words...Absolutely perfect! My wife and I had the most wonderful stay at the Atlantic Inn. We've been frequent visitors to Hatteras Island for many years and have stayed in many places on the island, the Atlantic Inn is now top of our list. If you're looking for a cozy, relaxing place to enjoy Hatteras, this is your place. The lnn keepers are wonderful and really make you feel at home, not to mention extremely good cooks. Along with everything else, the fresh homemade breakfasts really sets this place apart. The Inn itself is beautifully put together and very well maintained.

Best place to stay in the Outer Banks. If you only took time to read the first sentence; I’d like to share why for the rest. Starting with the unassuming superficial, this is the most beautiful residence I have ever stayed at. The Inn has been there for generations, and the inn keeper will share the history. Your room will be better than any unassuming 5 star hotel and the relaxation is top notch. A few things that set them apart are the amazing home made cookies as you enter. Breakfast. Made to order. While this truly sets them apart, a cut above the best, they treat you like family. Fireside chats with the inn keeping family will set you up for all the personal touches. The Atlantic Inn is a hidden gem. The rooms are unique, clean and well maintained. From the moment we drove up Katie and Mitch made us feel at home which continued throughout our entire stay. The location is central to restaurants, shops, and a short walk to the beach. The ferry terminal to Ocracoke Island is a short drive from the Inn and it was very easy to take over for a splendid daytrip to Ocracoke Island. The breakfast each morning was an amazing addition. We enjoyed waking up, drinking coffee on the front porch, then sitting down for a delicious, warm breakfast. A great way to start the day! We will return to continue to enjoy this charming Inn, cordial Inn Keepers, and all that the area offers.
