The Ampersand Inn

The Ampersand Inn was everything we were looking for and more. It was quiet, beautiful, and incredibly relaxing. The rooms were spotless, super comfortable. The fireplace added such a cozy, special touch to our stay. Irene, the owner, is truly wonderful and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her hospitality really sets this place apart. We woke up to a homemade quiche Lorraine (family recipe) that was absolutely outstanding - honestly the best I've ever had. Every detail felt intentional, and the entire experience was warm, peaceful and memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the Ampersand Inn to anyone looking for a charming and comfortable getaway.

Had a wonderful weekend at the inn! The spacious room, beautiful scenery and location were amazing especially during a snowy weekend! The innkeeper, Irene, is such a gracious host. And the breakfast is absolutely delicious! This is now my go to spot for a quick getaway for relaxation and serenity.

We stayed here recently whilst attending a funeral in the area. Despite the somber occasion and the relatively short stay, we found it to be the perfect place to stay and take our minds off things.| The area is beautiful and we loved the park nearby to take some very scenic walks, which helped us to relax and decompress. We were fortunate enough to be there while the leaves were still turning and the weather was still sunny and warm during teh day. |The Inn itself is beautiful and despite staying in the smallest and "least luxurious" room there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Had a delightful stay at Ampersand Inn! The greenery that surrounds the Inn creates a peace and tranquility that is felt as soon as you enter the roomy parking lot. The Inn feels cozy, but communal, elegant but relaxed. Rooms are spotless, well-appointed, and with comfortable and luxurious beds. Innkeeper Irene is sharp, attentive, and has a deep knowledge of New Jersey and how to best spend your time in the area! She and her team also make an incredible breakfast with many delicious options. We left very full and very satisfied. Any time I am anywhere near Newton New Jersey, I will stay there. Thank you Irene and team! What you've created in pure magic.

What a special place! We were in the area for a family event for two nights and there aren’t enough superlatives to describe this unique B&B. I don’t believe I’ve ever had a warmer welcome from a more hospitable - and interesting - host as Irene. We stayed in the carriage house, the room was spacious and very well appointed, including a small refrigerator and couch. Guests in the carriage house can also access the main house and take advantage of the tea, coffee, snacks and lovely lounging areas. Sometimes B&Bs can be too precious or stuffy - the Ampersand isn’t either of these. Just peaceful, welcoming and attentive. The home-cooked breakfasts both days were delicious. Hope we meet again.
