The food was great!! Ice cream was really good!! The staff were really nice and even brought the food to the table and offered to get anything else we needed (mayo of course for me). I will be returning again to try something new. Maybe even try the famous "2nd best Tenderloin sandwich in Iowa ".
Great small-town joynt!! Very friendly, clean, excellent Midwest comfort foods... and don't forget an ice cream treat (A+)!! Also very reasonably priced.

In-laws were here from Ohio and noted that the 1854 was on of the top 5 pork tenderloins in Iowa. Had to go. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Incredible sandwich. Well done staff of the 1854!
