Thai Yum

In the DMV visiting mom and hoped to reignite her taste buds and remind of our Thailand trip. This place did not hit the mark. It’s very hard to compare the real to the play play we have in the states but damn. Serving size on the Basil chicken was bigger than expected but also saltier than ever. Please bring water if you decide to try. The other dishes were okay at best. I will say the chief knows their mangoes. It worth a shot you might have a different experience.

First time trying the food here and honestly, I hope that they are not normally serving food like this. Everything was inedible. I ordered the wonton soup and the shrimp summer rolls. The soup was a bowl of oil. They added so much oil, the wontons were dripping in it and little to no broth. Every spoonful was literally oil with drops of broth. You can see in the pic, the top layer of oil in the bowl. Pictures are attached. The shrimp rolls had literally 2 shrimp cut in half and piles of lettuce and wilted greens at that. They piled the rolls in the take away box and of course, with the rice paper they ended up sticking together and completely falling apart. I would definitely not return.

Got the dumpling which were good. Also the Thai red curry with beef, shrimp and chicken was Amazing! spicy and flavorful!!!!

Had the spicy beef really good portions and flavor. Would order it again

The Pad Thai is NOTHING like real pad thai. No peanut taste and it’s spicy as hell….. no wonder this place has 3.5 stars
