Texas Grill and Cafe

Good food and good service. I tried this for the first time on my way out of town. I got the split cheese burger with a chicken fried steak. It was very hearty. Food takes a while to come out, but they make it fresh. All in all, this is a good place and reasonable value.

The place was awesome!! First thing coming through the door the hostess greets you with a warm welcome! Our waitress crystalle was just as warm and welcoming. Food was on point hot and fresh. Also the matcha drink and pumpkin spice drink we ordered were amazing. 10 out of 10 do recommend!!

First time visiting the Texas Grill and Cafe. Becky came over and visited with us and took our order. She was very friendly and polite. Even gave us a history lesson about the place. There was so much to choose from on the menu, it took a minute to decide. But we did. The food was great,even took a banana pudding home. If you are driving through Shepherd, TX, be sure to stop on bye.It's definitely worth getting off the freeway for.

Great spot for an awesome burger! Cooked to order goodness for sure! Was hard to not order the hand battered chicken fried steak, but it doesn't come on the jalapeño cheese bun that their burger comes on if ya ask... great staff, friendly & attentive, y'all stop by & tell em Connie sent ya! We were passing through and decided to stop at this charming little restaurant. The inside was very clean, pleasant and atts well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There were four in our group, one ordered the elk burger and the other three ordered the BBQ combo consisting of chicken and chopped brisket. Vegetables consisted of fried squash, baked potato, fried okra and fries. We ordered at 11:51, after about 40 minutes we ask our waitress how much longer until our lunch would be served and she said 5 minutes. It was taking longer because the elk was frozen. When we received our meal, the person with the elk burger had to add seasoning but overall it was very good. All the vegetables were good but needed seasoning. It seemed the chicken was from a bag of frozen thighs or maybe breast
