Texan Wangbal - Jokbal, Bossam

UPDATE (Original review 3 weeks prior): The menu has changed since then! Its a bit more fleixble on the combo as it gives you regular Jokbal, spicy, and then Bossam and you just choose 2 out of 3 of them! We also tried this spicy soondae thing and liked it a lot! The spicy jokbal was nice if you like a saucy and more intense flavor. If you like the subtle flavor, go regular as its seasoned already. They were also out of Jokbal when we arrived for dinner, and took 30 minutes for a fresh batch. Thats understandable and luckily they had Bossam available so we just ordered that to start! Very nice staff here as well My parents wanted to come here and we were hesitant at first since we don't really eat Jokbal, but it was delicious! I wasn't sure if it was just braised or braised & steamed,

Went in for buljokbal- spicy pork feet! It always satisfies my cravings, has the perfect flavor and kick. Also ordered bossam combo which was a good portion of the meat, dwenjang soup, and various sides for dips and wraps.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The menu is very limited — almost everything is pork, with the only beef option being short ribs. I didn’t even bother trying those because I was already let down by the dishes I ordered. The flavors just didn’t hit the mark, and nothing stood out as worth recommending. The service was another downside. Not sure if I caught them on a bad day, but the server was short with me and came across as rude, which made the experience even less enjoyable. Overall, not somewhere I’d be excited to return to. Plenty of other Korean spots in the area with better variety and much friendlier service.

Best pork feet I have ever had. The original flavor is amazing! The meat is so tender. The portion is huge. My friend and I only finished half of it and got plenty to go… love this place!

Food comes out quick and fresh. I had the bossom and it was a good size and tasty. The seafood pancake was also very good with a lot of seafood and crispy exterior. It got super busy very quick and they were receiving calls for parties of 10&12 and talked very loudly how other customers were already in their seats and such, which made me feel rushed to get out. Other than that, overall good service and tasty food.
