Tent Halal Food

We had an excellent experience having dinner at Tent Halal Food! I ordered the lamb and prune tagine, which had the most tender meat that fell off the bone. The Mauritanian tea was unlike any other tea I had before, I wish I had ordered more! I ended my meal with the knaffeh for dessert, which was unbelievable! The service was excellent and we felt very welcomed, even within the last hour of most of the staff fasting. We loved the atmosphere and decorations for Ramadan! We will no doubt visit Tent Halal again soon.

Been here several times, always excellent quality food, ambience, culture, service and hospitality. The hummus with pita is amazing, not to mention unique drinks such as the Mauritanian tea and Spanish Latte. Will definitely come back!

Such a great experience! We ordered the Mauritanian chicken with rice and the shawarma platter tabouli hummus peanut butter dish (don’t recall the name) all were absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and easily a 10/10. We met the owner, Hadeed, who was incredibly kind and attentive. He even recited a poem for us and shared a bit of Mauritanian history 🇲🇷, which made the whole visit feel unique and personal. The chef, Abdullah, also came out to greet us, and the whole team was so warm and welcoming. The restaurant is clean, friendly, and very budget-friendly. Parking was super easy too — a big plus! Highly recommend this spot! Great food, great people, and a fun little cultural journey all in one meal. We’ll definitely be back! P.S the Toum for the shawarma 🤤 perfection !!!!

My husband and I found this restaurant on Instagram through the phillyhalalspots page. It is so beautiful inside, and I can imagine they’ve designed it to look like their home country. They also place flags of countries around the world all throughout their restaurant. The vibe is great. Pricing is fair. The customer service was fantastic and the staff is delightful. They were extremely attentive to our group and made us feel so welcome. Service was speedy. We had a lot of fun! Now, the food. Super delicious. We came in a big group and all tried different dishes. Each one unique and full of flavor. My favorite is the lamb & prune tagine. Other dishes at the table were: lamb preserved lemon and olive tagine, maafe, mauritanian chicken & rice, mauritanian lamb & rice, king fish with fries &

Authentic Mauritanian and North African food, I tried the beef and chicken shawarma platters with baklava - it was amazing food. Everyone was warm and welcoming, portion size was great and good prices. Will definitely be going back here! 13/10!!!
