Tenango's Mexican Restaurant at Flat Rock, NC

Welcome to my favorite Mexican restaurant in Hendersonville. Food - 5 stars You won't find better enchiladas anywhere. The sauce is tangy & flavorful. The tacos are also phenomenal, and they do $1.99 tacos every Tuesday. Everything here is simply delectable. Service - 5 stars The staff are friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They are very prompt with drink & chip refills. Atmosphere - 5 stars The dining room is very clean and the decorations are beautiful. The bar is spacious & perfect for watching sports. In conclusion, if you're looking for great, affordable Mexican food in Hendersonville, Tenangos is the place to go.

We were really hoping a good Mexican restaurant would open a little closer to home, but we left a bit disappointed with Tenango’s in Flat Rock. Our server was great — friendly and attentive — so no complaints there. We ordered one steak fajita and one skirt steak entrée. Unfortunately, neither dish had much seasoning, and both cuts were on the chewy side. Skirt steak is naturally tougher, but my plate was listed as the outside cut, which should be a bit more tender when prepared properly. The presentation, as you can see, was very nice. The chips and warm bean dip were a good start, but the salsa bar felt limited with only three or four options. Portion sizes were reasonable for the price. The atmosphere was okay, but the bright lighting made it feel more like a fast‑casual spot — dimming

I had the burrito maria and it was delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is family friendly. They even have a robot server that plays music!! Our server Job was delightful. He was attentive to every detail of our meal. I recommend and will definitely be back.

The restaurant is amazing! The service is very attentive, fast, and personable! Our waiter Ronald, did a fantastic job at our table! I had the ACP & Churros… very GOOD!!☺️ I love Tenangos!!

Worth trying for anyone coming past the British bridge over 85 in Duncan, food is good, portions are massive. I am not sure what it looks like when busy but service was excellent and cleanliness is well maintained.
