Taylor Home Inn

I booked a night at the Taylor Home Inn to surprise my husband on his birthday. It was such a treat to be greeted at the front door by the owner, (Dave) and taken through each room of this home. Such attention was paid to detail, it was amazing! Dave is a wealth of information about early Mayberry days, it was positively delightful, sharing stories! Oh, and did I mention the plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us when we came back from our dinner? Yummy! The following morning, Dave was up early fixing our breakfast. It was a feast! Kudos to the details of not only Mayberry, but creating an extremely relaxing atmosphere. Take a step back in time.....you won't be disappointed!

Dave is an excellent host! We had an absolutely delightful stay. This is a must see for any Andy Griffith Show fan. The house was amazing and makes you feel like you are in Andy, Aunt Bea, and Opie’s home. Downstairs is a replica of the jail, something you do not want to miss. You will be so happy you took a seat and set a spell!

This is a very special place. If you are a fan of Andy Griffith show, this is a must. This is a place you feel you are right at home from the first step in. It was such a wonderful experience to stay here and Dave is so kind. The breakfast is top notch and we even got cookies in the evening. You can almost hear the voices of Mayberry when in each room or on the porch. We are so thankful for the wonderful stay we had. It was so peaceful and perfect. We truly felt at home in the home we all grew up with. We will return soon.

We were very impressed with this Taylor Home reproduction in many ways. When you drive up and are welcomed into the home, you literally feel like you have come to visit the Taylors. Dave is an excellent host in that he gives you a tour of the place explaining the different rooms and décor and then he leaves you to yourself to just enjoy your stay in ‘Mayberry’. ||We stayed in Opie’s room, because that room was one that we remembered most from the TV show. The room had a comfortable queen bed and a lot of attention to details that make it seem authentic with numerous items that will bring back memories from various episodes of the program. Wow! If your an Andy Griffith fan you have to plan to visit here. Owner and host Dave is GREAT! My daughter and I stayed in Andy's room. The front porch is nice and relaxing and you will love Ellie, Dave's friendly and playful dog! Breakfast was soooo good. Dave goes out of his way to make you feel at home back in Mayberry!
