Taverna Pizza

Very good value for $1.50. Good flavor (but a little heavy on the oregano). Decent coverage of cheese and sauce. Thin, chewy crust with crisp edge and good flavor. Not sure exactly what kind of cheese this is (could be casein) because it stays melted at low temperature. But the taste is good. Mushroom slice was $2, with ample topping coverage. Good enough that I went back for the second slice. I'll give this one a 92. To make it better, I would cut down on the oregano, and use a tomato sauce that has more of the traditional acidic plum tomato taste.

Came to Taverna on the bay for dinner date night with friends, Nice cozy place. Romantic as well. Greatttt variety of appetizers and entres. The food was delicious!!! I had the sea bass, it was phenomenal!!!! The sangria was very good. Looking forward to many more dinner nights!

Beautiful and cozy place. Service, drinks and food was excellent! Latin music in the background added romantic vibe to our dinner. Highly recommend.

The reviews here are for two different Taverna places side by side. We went to the pizza place. For $2 a slice I guess you can’t have super high expectations, but it was not great. The dough needed salt. The only option was cheese and it didn’t look fresh. The space was also pretty run down.

Food was good, remember that it's Mediterranean food, so seafood. Meats aren't their specialty though good. Rack of lamb was done perfectly but ruined it with jar gravy, tasting the salt Wait staff needs to improve, pushing water as if you're a fish out of water, and asking constantly if you were done, as in taking our apps before we were finished. Had better, but better than most places that ive eaten at.
