Taverna Kos Astoria

I've lived in Astoria most of my life and had never been before, but I'm so glad we finally did. We had the tomahawk steak, lamb chops, branzino, calamari, Greek salad, and octopus, and everything was outstanding. It's a great place to celebrate with a larger group if you plan ahead: our table was an 8 top. 10/10, and I can't wait to go back.

Probably the best real greek food you gonna have in Astoria! Great service! Amazing food! Its soooooo worth it! The amount of food is generous. The meatballs are moist, flavorful. crunchy outside. The spreads, with pita bread… sooo yummy! Greek salad ALWAYS fresh. Really, I give you my word you going to come back, as I do! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Atmosphere is great, it feels like I’m at my family’s house. The playlist that they’re running is full of absolute bangers. Everyone that works there is very nice. Food is really really good. My favorite thing was the kolokithokeftedes. For any non Greeks reading this, that is like a fried zucchini dish and most places in America it’s whatever but here I thought it was really good. I will be back here to have more.

Taverna Kos treats you like family. They have this way of making you feel welcome without being intrusive. They offered us refills on our 3 dip sampler (tzatsiki, spicy feta, and garlic potato) which was super yummy! Dessert was on the house, and they offered seconds on that as well. Lemon potatoes, lamb chops, and octopus were all delicious. They are cash only, but they do accept Zelle!
