Tavern on the Lake

You are definitely paying for the view. Great view and great vibe. Sadly, the food did not match its appearance. If they somehow figure out how to make the food taste good, they will surely do wonderful. Although the views are making up the difference and it gets packed. We ordered a bunch of apps and were not impress even a little bit. Best tasting dish was the buffalo wings. Lobster bisque, lacking flavor and came out little hotter than room temp. Stuffed mushrooms were not cook all the way through, had to send it back. Crab cakes were so so. Nachos did not come out right, we ended up scratching that order as well. Service was good, our waiter was hustling and tried to make things better, although the food was def disappointing.

Amazing food. Quite a romantic ambiance place near Lake George. Good service but it takes time for food. Though they say no modifications to menu. They do consider allergies. Overall a Good experience. Loved it. And would like to visit again.

The view is stunning and located in a perfect spot. You can boat right up to the dock and are met with friendly faces to help the docking experience. The service is pretty good, but the food is nothing special. You are definitely paying for the view, not the food. It is not terrible, just overpriced for the quality.

The view is unbeatable but the food was below average. Probably the worst BLT I've ever had. It had wilted, dark lettuce too. The drink tasted very watered down.

The views at this waterfront restaurant are truly spectacular—no argument there. It’s a beautiful setting, perfect for enjoying a drink or catching a sunset. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the ambiance. I ordered the bruschetta chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken was supposed to be grilled, but it came out tasting more like it had been poached—soft, lacking any char or flavor you’d expect from grilling. The mashed potatoes were watery and bland, and the green beans didn’t add much to the plate. We also tried the birria mac and cheese, which sounded like a winning combination but was a major disappointment.
