Tavern in the Square

Great atmosphere! Yes I had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated but it was worthwhile. Pretty busy on a Wednesday evening but we know why. Food was good and my server was the sweetest and most professional waitress ever. I ordered the honey lime salmon and it was delicious. Salmon was nicely cooked evenly, juicy not dry, not too much spice, it was just right. Don’t remember the name of my server, she’s a nursing student, she took great care of my table and my family. While waiting for our food which didn’t take too long, the manager came to check on us to see if we didn’t need anything. That was nice of him! Thanks much for the experience! We will be back again.

We sat at the bar and the bartender was quick at greeting us and very attentive the entire visit. We ordered the nachos, the portion was great but extremely lacking in toppings. The moment we got past the first 5-6 chips the cheese and creme disappeared, leaving us a pile if chips to dip in the pico and sour cream. We also ordered the bang bang broccoli which was AMAZING. We ordered the chili sauce on the side so the broccoli didn't become soggy, a suggestion I highly recommend. The cosmo spritz was good.

Every time I come home, Tavern in the Square in Tyngsboro is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. This location is so much bigger than others, and the bar area is especially nice—it’s a great spot to sit and enjoy a drink. The food is always fresh, and honestly, everything I’ve ever ordered off the menu has been phenomenal. I really wish I had taken pictures of our appetizers because they were that good. We ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and the pretzel bites with cheese and apples. The Brussels sprouts were incredibly filling, perfectly crispy, and packed with flavor—the aftertaste was amazing, too. The portion size was also very generous. Stumbling upon Tavern in the Square during a Costco errand turned out to be a delightful surprise! With its welcoming ambiance and friendly staff, this casual spot offers a satisfying culinary experience. Our large group of 14 was accommodated effortlessly, and our food arrived promptly and accurately. The fried pickles, piping hot initially, became irresistible as they cooled. The cool and refreshing Greek salad, generously portioned, was a perfect complement. Its well-seasoned dressing and creamy feta cheese added a burst of flavor. I also ordered the nachos on our first visit. These things are huge well worth sharing the guacamole is also really good. The exceptional service at Tavern in the Square deserves special mention. Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Busy crowd but we were able to get seated in a decent size both right away for just two of us. Ordered up the espresso Martini at the recommendation of my friend who said they were really good here. Also ordered the buffalo cauliflower and a grilled chicken caesar salad. The buffalo cauliflower was insanely great. Great amount of heat and perfectly coated and cooked just right. Really great flavor. I would get that again and again and again. The chicken caesar salad was also really good. Chicken was grilled up nicely with the grill marks and all. Very most and delicious! Service was spot on. Very attentive, fast, and friendly. Love the layout of this place. I will definitely be back whenever I'm visiting the area again.
