Tavern at the Mission

Wow!!!!! We had a wonderful brunch at Tavern at the Mission. We ate inside and really enjoyed the cozy tavern ambiance. Tavern at the Mission delivers a polished, comfort-food-driven experience with mission views, a cozy fireplace, and pet-friendly patio vibes. It is located directly across the street from the San Juan Capistrano Mission, with a stunning view of the Mission. Love it 🥰 The restaurant has a romantic and cozy vibe, offering comfortable seating and their outdoor patio is enormous, shaded, and even host to live music during Sunday brunch. When we walked in , we were immediately greeted like we were a family. Our server, was outstanding-professional, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He offered thoughtful recommendations and provided detailed descriptions

First time we came this week Emma was our server and she was excellent and the manager Jennifer was very accommodating. I made just a little comment about the lighting above my table and the manager came right over and said and tried to do everything to make the lighting excellent went over and beyond very helpful. Staff is just incredible. Our second visit Ashley provided excellent service. The food was on par. It was delicious and we enjoyed every bite of it. We’ll definitely come back every time we have a chance.

This place is AMAZING. The food is absolutely incredible, bursting with flavor and deliciousness. Bettie, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable. She had the best suggestions and knew what to steer us towards. If you have never been, you definitely need to try. Definitely an excellent date night spot or just grabbing afternoon lunch.

Ambiance, Food, and Service were excellent! This was our first time dining here and had a very enjoyable experience. They are dog-friendly in their patio area. Which allowed us to comfortably have our dogs next to us. I had the fresh fish special and my wife had the salmon tacos. Both dishes were prepared nicely. Special thanks to our wonderful server, Christi. Her excellent service made the experience very special!

Very romantic setting in the heart of San Juan. You have a choice to sit at the bar, indoors, OR at the patio. I chose the latter, because the weather was very nice. The spacious patio was very warm and welcoming, equipped with live music, at least when I was there. I got straight to the point and wanted the 18 Oz boneless ribeye. It was phenomenally seasoned to perfection, topped with spicy butter, and finished off with crispy onions. Sides include cheese gratin, which I substituted for extra green beans. The service was very fast and they go above and beyond. I am definitely coming back here again.
