Taste of New York Pizza

WOW! This is my new favorite pizza joint! I love the incredibly thin crust! Not only is it golden and crispy on the bottom (even after transport), but it's also chewy on top! Appropriate amount of cheese, sauce, and fresh toppings. Maybe I'm a little biased because this is the type of pizza I grew up with on the East Coast...But, I honestly just think this is top tier! Your taste buds are the best testimony. They have their pre-made slices on display behind the counter. We tried a piece of the white pizza (mozzarella and ricotta) while we were waiting for a full pie to be made. They have a 2-topping special on Tuesdays so we took advantage of that!

We ordered takeout for Valentine’s Day and it was perfect! We got the Margarita pizza and it was light and refreshing! The garlic knots are an absolute must! The cannoli was delicious too! It was our first time trying it and we will be back!

Per the recommendation from my son, we tried Taste of New York when we were out for a dance competition. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! We each got a slice. The size of pizza that you got was great for the price. My daughter loved the buffalo chicken, I got the margarita and my fiance got the supreme. The crust was SO GOOD!!!! The stag were so friendly. I would definitely go back if we come back out.

Taste of New York Pizza in Waukee is easily one of the best pizza spots around. The crust is perfectly thin with just the right crunch, the sauce has great flavor, and the cheese is always fresh and generous. The slices are huge and filling, just like you’d expect from a real New York–style place. The staff is friendly and quick, even when they’re busy, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or ordering a whole pie, the quality is consistently great. If you’re looking for authentic New York–style pizza in Iowa, this place is a must-try. 🍕

Great pizza! The 4 stars for service is based on the timing of the Slice app of which is needed to place a take out order. I’d recommend doubling the time the Slice app provides if Friday or Saturday evening. App stated 30 minutes and did not adjust. From past experience I knew it was going to take longer than this so I took my time and arrived 10 minutes after the app said order was ready. Waited in restaurant for 20 minutes with many others. I have no problem waiting, however would recommend providing a realistic timeframe.
