Taste of Haiti

We stopped by the World Food Trucks in Kissimmee, Florida, and after walking around and exploring the options, we decided to try a few different spots. One of those was the :Taste of Haiti" (Anide’s Bakery & Plus). It ended up being the highlight of our food selections. The owner, Anide, was incredibly hospitable and helpful. You could truly taste the love and passion in her cooking. We followed her advice and ordered the Fried pork with mushroom rice Soooo good!!! The rice was cooked to perfection and the pork had so much flavor, and the perfect amount of crisp. If you’re visiting the World Food Trucks, make sure you stop by Taste of Haiti. You will not be disappointed!

An authentic Haitian food truck at the World of Food Trucks. I was immediately drawn to try something here. They have mostly seafood options, of course. So we opted to try a herring patty. Honestly, it wasn’t my favorite and I had never tried herring before so didn’t know what to expect. But the pastry itself was baked well and I think in another filling option would be good. The staff was super sweet.

Everyday I think of those conch fritters yall made me a few months ago, definitely will be coming back when I’m in Orlando. I cannot get the recipe right myself. Thank yall!!!
