Taste of Gyro | Astoria

I’ve been to Taste of Gyro 4 or 5 times and the food is always so delicious. Portions are large, prices are reasonable, and the family that runs it is so very nice. It has a cozy atmosphere inside, kind of like a Greek cafe. Greek music is always playing, and most of the time you’ll hear Greek spoken by the patrons. That just adds to the charm of this place! I highly recommend it.

Had an excellent gyro tonight at Taste of Gyro in Astoria. The meat was perfectly seasoned and sliced, the pita was warm and soft, and everything was fresh. Simple, honest food done right. Portions were generous and the flavors really hit the spot. This is exactly what a gyro should be. Even though they were busy at the place with take out orders they were working hard to please everyone. Great customer service! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Absolutely amazing! All of the food was fantastic. We are visiting from out of town and this was so special. The atmosphere feels like home and kept very clean. The portions generous, and taste was delicious. We had gyros and platters and appetizers.

A hidden gem that n Astoria. This is a small tavern where you can enjoy good Greek food, prepare with Meraki and love. Whatever you order will be good. Go simple. Good place to catch up with a friend on a Sunday afternoon.

Their Gyro is so authentic, it’s honestly better than what I’ve ever had in Greece (which is a lot). Even the service is authentic Greek (a little slow-paced, lol). I only write reviews when I love a place and this fits the bill. Quiet little shop run by mom and pop, and so delicious. Fresh RED juicy tomatoes and fantastic homemade tsaziki sauce. Crispy French fries on top give it away as truly authentic. Better than the hectic chaos of any place near Ditmars or Steinway. Make the trip: you won’t be disappointed.
