Taquería El Ahijado Nelo

The worst asada I've ever had. I asked for cilantro and onion but I only got diced tomato and sour cream SERIOUSLY WHAT! I normally don't put up bad reviews if I don't like it I ignore the place. BUT SERIOUSLY THIS WAS SO BAD I needed to put this up for people to know that's it's bad!!! FOR 15$ ITS JUST UNBELIEVABLE I've never been so disappointed. They took a while as well. Also I hate the self serve sauce bar with them all being cross contaminated with other sauces.

Ain’t no way… So I have eaten a lot of Mexican food myself being Mexican/Italian… Went in there to order a burrito. It’s $13 so let’s start there… I ordered it… It’s drier than sand to say the least… I asked for condiments a lady points to the thing saying you can get it yourself. I’m like? For $13 I don’t get my condiments already? And then I wanna order a soda a can of soda is 2.50? I mean need I say more! To each their own, but for me, this is a hard pass.

The Tacos Ahijado Truck on Twin Cities Rd on the east side of Hwy 99 is great! Open every day except for Sunday, I think. It is convenient, delicious and a quick place to stop for a bite to eat. The service is friendly, there are always people there, and the food is fairly priced. We got asada and pastor tacos, both had plentiful portions of meat and were very flavorful. The salsa isn’t very spicy, but I’m sure I could have asked for spicier. They come packaged on a plate covered with foil, so make sure not to put them on the passenger seat on the way home! Galt is known for a plethora of Mexican food choices, but this one is solid! They also own the restaurant in the same parking lot, though I have yet to try it. We recommend it!!!

The food here is excellent, they say the best ones are usually a good drive. I live in Manteca and I stumbled here to get my a wife a burrito and she said it’s the best one yet. I had to come back and try their shrimp burrito and it did not disappoint at all. Highly recommended and worth the 40 min drive.

This place has the best nachos and super tasty chicken. I will return to try more
