Taquería Don Güero

The food is mediocre. I was sad to see they did away with Taco Tuesday specials. I’ve had their tacos before and each time I keep thinking it’ll get better but still basic and not worth $3 a taco. I got a torta this time around and it had a little bit of ingredients. Very little meat, beans, even Mayo. For $12 I’d rather go to Cuñados. I have tried it many times and finally decided it’s too expensive for what they are serving. Could pay the same and get better quality elsewhere.

I can't say it was great, but good! 👌 All the ingredients have a good fresh taste, which is great in itself. But, for example, there are no avocado🥑 in tacos at all, and I had a feeling of some lack of taste maybe because of this. The quesadillas were delicious 😋 and fully loaded, but we used sauces as we wanted the food to taste richer. The atmosphere and service are excellent 👍, and overall it is a good place, with good quality and compared to a lower price.🙌

Today was my last day of chemo. I tried to go get just two tacos to celebrate. The lady told me I HAD to order 4 tacos at minimum…. And tried to say “using your card versus cash will give me less money because the machine takes money from her”. For reference, El Cunado gives you 3 GRANDE tacos and rice and beans too! I’ll never be going back here again. Thank you a lot! $16 for four tacos with nothing else…. Not a steak house HAHAHA

I got the asada tostada with extra avocado. I really like them. My husband got the pork torta sandwich and he gets that every time we go there. The seating is just picnic tables outside, so it's very hard to rate atmosphere. On a sunny day it's great!
