Taqueria Santa Rosa

One of the best burritos I’ve had in the area.

I went after the lunch rush at 3pm. I ordered to go the pastor, carnitas, and fajitas tacos. I liked the carnitas best. The other two meat tacos were okay as meat were a bit dry. It is located in front of an auto shop so parking is not designated. They do take credit cards.

This is the real deal! Authentic tastes of Mexico. Large selection of meats for whatever you order. Need to up my Spanish game so I can order properly, good thing they speak better English than I do. I had the Lengua with beans and rice, all wrapped up and grilled crispy. Side of whole pickled jalapeño medium spicy with a side of pico and sliced tomatoes. Green sauce in the fridge was delicious with a medium spice and strong jalapeño flavor. Red sauce had great flavors, closer to extra hot. They have an assortment of other spices and sauces, not that the food needs them, it stands on its own nicely. This is not fancy fine dining, just great food and service at a good price, made by nice people. A food truck stuck on the side of a building, I think it makes the food taste even better.

What you have pictured is a blurry image of what used to be a Carnitas Torta. I used salt liberally with both salsas. The quality of the food was top notch and I only paid about $13 with the Coke. I’ll definitely come back. I don’t speak Spanish… I wish I did, but those ladies back there were nice. Of course they giggled when I said please for a jalapeño.

Really a great place! I'm not very adventurous and just had chicken tacos but they were outstanding. Maybe next time I'll try something different and authentic. I loved the band that was there.
