This was my first time trying this place out because it’s close to my job and I’m not sure if it’s because I went at 1pm or what but the food was terrible ,my taco had a pretty burnt flour tortilla and no refried beans like it was advertised, potatoes were overcooked and I’m like ok whatever ,then I go to eat my flautas and the chicken is EXTRA dry ,like crunchy dry and I’m not one to do bad reviews but this was awful to experience specially in a rushed lunch time .will not be trying here again.
I don’t generally go out of my way to leave reviews unless I find my experience to be that positive. I stopped in this afternoon to grab a simple bean and cheese burrito. She told me that they had a smaller taco and a larger burrito. I opted for the burrito and for five or six dollars let me tell you what that was the best bean and cheese burrito that I have had in this area and then some. Cheese all through that thang more beans than one might need but just right for this guy. Ambience in restaurant seems nice. It is a smaller Taqueria so be understanding of that. Only complaint that I would have is that it is very hot inside the restaurant so eating in would not be super comfortable but something that is fixable thanks for a great lunch!
Food was good. Authentic Mexican food and good price too. Good portions. I had a machete.
The restaurant needs a major makeover, and $29 for two plates that were much smaller than I expected is too pricey. I had the enchiladas, and they hardly had any sauce, and it came with a small portion of rice. Flavors were good I'll give them that just need bigger portions if I'm paying $29 for two plates that seemed kinda like a kids meal.
Hidden Gem! My family wanted to find a good breakfast when traveling from Bolivar peninsula to Houston along I-10. We found this restaurant on Yelp with decent rating. It turned out that it’s underrated. Delicious food and great value! We (all adults) ordered 1 dish per person and had to ask for to-go boxes even before we started - we had for next breakfast at home. It is located a mile off the highway exit but it’s worth trying. I highly recommend.
