Taqueria la Piedad

We just tried this place for the first time, and this is absolutely will be our new go-to spot for breakfast burritos, something we’ve struggled with since moving here from Odessa (where you can throw a rock and hit a good burrito). It’s always a good sign when you’re the only white people in the restaurant (technically my wife is half Mexican, but she doesn’t at all look it!). If you want good Mexican food, eat where the Mexicans eat! The restaurant looks to be family owned and staffed, and the people were very friendly. I have to commend them on having an absolutely spotless restaurant. They cook right behind the counter, so you can see everything, and it was super clean!! They were super friendly, and the chorizo burrito was so yummy! A lot of times I’ve gotten chorizo anything, I feel like the skimp on the chorizo. I didn’t feel like they did with it, and it was only $6+tax They also give you two salsa’s and lime w/ a plate of chicharonnes. Def recommend people to stop in for breakfast, will def check their birria tacos and other stuff the next time I’m in town for lunch!

Came here to try to barbacoa tacos. The meat itself was AMAZing. I loved that they added grilled onions. Next time I’ll only ask for grilled onions bc they put grilled and raw — still good tho. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the flour tortillas used for single tacos. I also got bean and cheese plain. Their beans are authentic and really tasty with great flavor! Staff was super friendly!

This is our new favorite (quick bite) go to. The food is awesome. We've tried almost everything on the menu. My favorite item is the meat filled quesadilla. It is two meals for me! Also, the red hot sauce is so good. It's got a thick, rich smoky flavor. My favorite part is that they are opened 7 days a week from breakfast through dinner, so i can get it anytime I'm hungry!

Me and my wife stopped by today, and this was by far, the best authentic Mexican food I have ever had. The owner and staff care about the quality of food they serve and each person that walks through their door. I was blown away with the food and service. If you have never been to Taqueria la Piedad, I strongly suggest you stop by. You won’t be disappointed.
