Taqueria Guerrero (Under New Ownership - Now Called Taqueria Allende 2)

In Indio on vacation and stopped by this Mexican restaurant near where we are staying. It was pretty busy with lots of people coming for pickup orders. The food is fantastic. Went for Taco Tuesday and came back Thursday to try more of the menu. Loved the quesabirrias.

Just happened to come in while waiting for my pick up order at Walmart. Such a happy surprise! The food was delicious and fresh. All produce (Lettuce, Cilantro, onions) were crisp and flavorful. The al pastor was seasoned perfectly. Staff were kind and courteous. If I was a local I'd come again!

Excellent restaurant! 4 of us walked in Saturday, seated right away. Ordered a couple of carnitas burritos, one fajitas, and one ocean fish soup. All four were very tasty, especially the soup, (crab, shrimp, mussels, octopus, and fish) For all that we paid $69.00 plus tip. Good dinner..

$37 for two people to sit in and eat. Ice cold enchiladas, no napkins, or even table service. You have to order first then sit down and eat. Food looked great but was ice cold to the touch.

Gotta agree with others when they say that service is rather slow. It really is. Food, however, is excellent. We ordered the carne asada and eggs with machaca. Both quite tasty and very ample portions. You definitely get your money's worth. Salsa bar had lots of selections but no identifying labels as to the level of heat, only a notice to not waste and only take what you're going to eat. Yeah right. Our table, as well as others, needed to be wiped down. Lots of nearby parking and the restrooms are clean even if a bit dim.
