Taqueria El Tapatío

I love everything I have gotten. My favorite is the quesotacos with steak as my meat choice and the Verde salsa with a side of meatless consume. Sooo good! Other Ive tried street tacos and the nachos all are.so good. Pictured is the quesotacos.

It's in the mall what can I tell you. But this place proves everybody wrong about Mall food. Amazing Biria tacos, definitely did not need consomme, there is enough in the beef. I ordered half with cheese but only got three with cheese instead of four...so the kitchen staff needs to be more attentive. Also did not get my to Mandarin orange drinks with the meal, again they need to be more attentive.

I know you’re thinking this place is a taco shop in the mall I’m sure it will be “meh”. Well you would be VERY WRONG. The best tacos in town period. The Quesobirria tacos with Consume are show stoppers. The whole menu is so good, my kids love the quesadilla which is massive and the nachos are my wife’s favorite. There isn’t a lot of stuff in the mall anymore but this place brings us in and we look around at other shops while we are there. They have a Latin grocery store across the corridor from the restaurant and my kids love trying new candy and different ice creams from other countries. It’s a whole experience as they have amazing tacos, and menu then a grocery store across the hall that gives you tons of options for new tastes and experiences! El Tapatio is by far the best Mexican joint to go to in Jefferson City if not the entire state. Family is from Southern California. Their food is phenomenal!!!!! They also have their own market. Located inside the front of the Jefferson City Mall. I've been coming here since 2019 2020 when they first opened. It's a must try. (One of the only Mexican places I've been to that has consume, and Birria tacos)!

Literally some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Every single item on the menu is very delicious and flavorful. Those Quesa tacos are to die for. I also love the atmosphere of it being in a mall which makes this place even more special. The staff is always friendly to you and they always look happy.
