Taqueria El Pollo Loco Jr.

We had birria tacos. The new place is very nice, but the food lost flavor and juiciness (the meat is drier), and the prices are higher than expected. I’d go back more often if the prices were more affordable. Overall is good, but you can expect it to be expensive if you just want tacos and are not picky about much flavor. I’d recommend you having a place to grab salsas, cilantro & onion, limes, etc. in one of the corners maybe, lower your prices, put salt and pepper on the tables, or very small plates with salsas on each table. Please don’t charge for consomé or salsas, if you want to do that, perhaps just on seconds. This is just a thought but you could also place another TV in the future for the “Mundial” for the tables outside.

Maravillosa🙏🙏 tacos are great and atmospheres nice, employees are kind and helpful, I highly recommend eating here. Fair warning, I did come here during a rush and it took about 10-15 minutes to get my food, but it was definitely worth the wait for how good quality it was :)

If you're looking for the best tacos in Rexburg, El Pollo Loco Jr is definitely the place! My wife and I drove from Idaho Falls to Rexburg to eat here and we've been here many times. I've visited so much I have tasted everything in the menu, and you can't go wrong with your choice. If you're really hungry, I would recommend the burrito or the torta since they are pretty big, but you could also get multiple items to try it all. The tacos are delicious and everything is authentic.

It's hard to find good tamales at restaurants and stuff. These are probably the best tamales I've had that were not homemade. It's $10 for 6. They are quite filling and pretty spicy in my opinion hahaha. The staff is super friendly and chill, and they had the tamales ready in 5 minutes or so. I'll definitely come back to try other items. EDIT: I tried the tacos and they are very good! They put a lot of meat in them (see pictures) so that's great. Something I would say is that the chorizo is a bit too salty, and the green sauce is a bit spicier than other restaurants. I didn't have any problems with parking (I went around 5pm)

A food truck that not only hits the spot but scratched that itch for good quality Mexican food. Prices were reasonable. Variety was great (They had awesome tamales) Atmosphere was fine. We ate outside. I would definitely return if in the area again.
