Taqueria El Crucero

We were passing through town and saw this little shop while getting gas and decided to give it a try. Best decision ever made!!! When I tell you I’ve been craving Sopes for MONTHS but can never find a restaurant with them, I was so happy seeing it on the menu and they truly delivered on the quality!! The cashier was also so so so sweet and she made the experience even better! If you are even thinking about stopping here for a millisecond, then you should because it’s sooooo worth it! This is the most authentic food I’ve had since being in Mexico, which is sooooo hard to find in the US. It’s also very affordable, which is amazing, since everywhere costs an arm and a leg nowadays.

I have tried this place several times and I love the food. The lady who runs it is also very friendly and easy going. The tacos are delicious and they offer a good variety of filings. The sopes are really good also. They are thicker than most places offer and are more homemade size vs the almost flat sopes you get elsewhere. One option for the sope is rajas, which be warned, is spicy. I’ve had just poblanos and cheese before but this one appears to have jalapeño in it maybe? No extra salsa needed. Speaking of salsa, their red salsa is 🔥🔥. It tastes like chile de árbol. Makes the food just right. If you prefer milder salsa the green one is good too.

Went to this establishment for a lunch break and wanted Beria tacos they were delicious the waiter was awesome. She provided me with different condiments of my choice and told me which ones were top-tier. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely be back for another lunch break.

They have the best tacos i have ever ate! The best customer service i ever had! i come here often they always hit the spot! The spicy salsa is always a go to very good food!

I impulsively tried this place for the first time and it was so good !! I had the tacos de asada, mango agua fresca and chocolat flan. Muy muy rico and the staff is so friendly as well you will definitely feel appreciated ☺️
