Tapa Sushi

Tapa is a go to for us for sushi in American Fork. The food is good. Service is typically good. And the environment is mellow. It can get loud in there if it’s a busy night and people are drinking but overall it’s pretty chill. If something isn’t right they are quick to address and fix it.

I recently placed a pickup order from Tapa Sushi. Over the phone, the staff were friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately , one of the items I ordered was completely inedible. The Gyoza was badly burned, to the point where it shouldn’t have been boxed up and sent out. When I called to ask for a refund for just that one item, they refused, saying I could come back another time for a replacement instead. That’s really disappointing because I drove 25 minutes to get my order. Mistakes happen, but refusing to refund a $6 item after serving something that couldn’t be eaten is unacceptable. It’s not about the money it’s about doing the right thing. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures better quality control and customer service in the future. We just had a 5-person birthday lunch extravaganza here this afternoon (lunch ends at 4 PM), and everything was fantastic — We had three appetizers: the crispy calamari (which is also sticky and delicious), the gyoza (Japanese style, crunchy, and not too chewy or thick-skinned), And an off-menu house specialty that I won’t mention here, so it’s more likely to be available next time we come. We ordered a bunch of their lunch specials, about half of them were the sushi lunches, with two hot dishes: The tonkatsu (the breaded pork cutlet over rice) was served in a large bowl, with a large and delicious portion — the coddled egg and extra barbecue sauce were excellent (see the photo); and The Japanese yellow curry vegetables with rice, which was very good (and smoky; the curry could have bee

Just took my cousin there for his birthday, we got the lunch special, we got 2 rolls and miso for 11 bucks. The food was amazing, highly recommended the tempura roll, good balance of crunch to the rice.

Really good food and despite how busy it was when I visited we still had really good service
