We had an outstanding experience at Tamarind, and I’m still thinking about the meal two weeks later. For an appetizer, my husband and I shared the Tandoori Jhinga. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and paired with delicious accompaniments that really elevated the dish. For our mains, my husband ordered the Lamb Chops and I had the Tawa Gurda Kaleji. The lamb was, without exaggeration, the best rack of lamb I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. The Tawa Gurda Kaleji was bold, deeply spiced, and so good that, if I weren’t raised with better manners (and in public), I might have licked the bowl clean! For dessert, we ordered the Gajar Halwa, which was a surprising and memorable blend of carrots, beets, nuts, and warm aromatics. It was rich, balanced, and genu

My wife and I visited Tamarind as the first customers of the day. Since the restaurant had just opened, it was quite cold inside, which was understandable. For future visits, having the heating adjusted a bit earlier would make the experience even more comfortable. Tamarind offers a modern take on Indian cuisine while staying true to authentic flavors. I ordered the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani. While it wasn’t the traditional Hyderabadi dum biryani I’ve had in Hyderabad, it was still absolutely delicious—richly flavorful without being overpowering. We also tried the Meen Moilee (fish moly), which was comforting and well balanced. The basmati rice included with the curry was a thoughtful touch. To warm up during the chilly weather, we ordered Indian-style coffee, which hit the spot perfect

My family and I have been to so many indian restaurants in the area and this one stands out quite easily. Their drink menu consists of creative interpretations of some of our most beloved drinks. Their appetizers blew us away, and I would share what we had but I really think its better to go in with an open mind as all the dishes we had didnt disappoint (you can also ask for a recommendation from your server!). Their mains combined modern and traditional indian recipes so well, but kept creativity at the forefront by introducing unique ingredients to already classic indian dishes. Their plating deserves more credit; it's an art that they clearly value and exceled in. Their interior boasts a large space for full-fledged dinner settings to easy-going bar/lunch adventures. And something about

This Indian restaurant offers a modern take while staying true to authentic flavors. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it was absolutely delicious. The seasoning was authentic but not overly spicy, which I really appreciated — flavorful without being overpowering. The naan was excellent; I ordered the garlic naan and loved it. The basmati rice comes included with the tikka masala, which is a nice touch. We also ordered the samosas with the two accompanying sauces — the green sauce was especially good and stood out to me. The cocktails were very well crafted, and when we visited, there was live music, which added a great atmosphere to the experience. Even though the restaurant is relatively new, you can tell there is a lot of care put into the service. The space is spacious and well

Last night we tried the new Indian restaurant Tamarind in Nyack at 20 South Broadway, and it was an absolute delight. I ordered the lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. My husband had the chicken tikka masala, and it was just as impressive: aromatic, rich, and incredibly delicious. The spices were balanced without being overpowering, and the presentation was lovely. They have a full service bar, and the drinks were perfectly made. They really do a great job. Tamarind is a wonderful addition to Nyack’s dining scene, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!
