Taki Japanese Steakhouse

I'm not a big fan of the dinner and a show concept where they cook in front of you, so I was delighted to learn we could just order off the menu from a normal table. Service was great. Food was great. Nice experience.

We got seated right away. Our server I believe was Luu T. Very sweet and for our wait he gave us a slice of cheesecake. The food was so good!

Over all, everything was good. The pieces of mackerel were gigantic, which I don’t mind, and the service was good - everything came out fairly quickly. My one gripe is I also ordered the volcano roll, which should have been krab, scallops, eel sauce and I think spicy mayo on top of a California roll, but either I was served the wrong thing or they just did not include the scallops and eel sauce on top. Just krab and spicy mayo… ):

It’s fine for what it is. I always get takeout because the actual restaurant is unpleasant and feels pretty run down, and not in a charming way. They used to serve their apps on a bed of cabbage. Not sure what’s going on with what I had tonight considering cabbage might be one of the cheapest things to keep in stock at a place like Taki, but my takoyaki from tonight was laying on like, 5 of the yellowest lettuce chops I’ve ever seen. It was the same mix they use for the house salad, and it’s gross when you don’t drown it in ginger dressing. The takoyaki itself was tasteless and slightly underdone. They used to actually have bonito flakes, but the last three or so times I’ve ordered have featured a sad, limp swirl of kewpie laid individually and nothing else. This was one of the only plac

From start to finish the staff was friendly. Food amazing and you get what you pay for, no portion skimping! The adult beverages are great they aren’t skimping on the shots in the mixes at all! 100/10 will be going again and now that I know I can order sushi for delivery you better believe it’ll be happening! Pricing is about you would expect maybe even less for the amount and quality of food you get!
