Customer Reviews
Taishoken has great appetizers and ramen with a rich hearty broth. The calamari and karage were very crispy. This is one of the better karage I have had. The calamari came on a bed of chilli oil that was also yum. The ramen pork broth is like marufuku. I got the spicy miso ramen. The chasu could have been a little more tender. The ramen unusually was topped with red onion. The noodles are very al dente. I like this but it might not appeal to everyone. The side of chilli oil was good. The service was efficient. The atmosphere was cozy and the bonzai in the glass tubes were a nice touch.
Dropped by on Friday around 6-7pm, waited for 20-30 minutes for one. I enjoyed my drink and dinner here. Never had tsukemen before, I liked it. Different from ramen or udon, in its own class. The karaage was solid but nothing special. Most of all I appreciate the service. The gentleman who was attending all of us sitted at the bar was super kind and helpful, true Japanese hospitality that's hard to experience even in Japan nowadays. Strong recommend if you're looking for authentic Japanese experience.
I’ve been eating soup all week so when my friends wanted to grab ramen I was looking at what else was on the menu. Big pieces of salmon. Great sauce. Garnishes were delicious. Cold beer served in a glass. It just felt comfortable and the noodles looked great I just wanted something light and fresh.
Quick service, well prepared foods. They ah e everything so dialed in we were in and out in 35 min but never felt rushed. The ramen was thick and tasty and the Taishoken broth was incredibly complex with good chewy noodle to complement it. Worth making reservations as it can get busy
Grilled eggplant was the best. Agadashi tofu was delicious as usual. Our sashimi platter melted in mouth. Ramen broth was tasty - soft boiled egg was cooked to perfection. Service was amazing. High recommended this place.
