Food was delicious! I had the B.L.A.T. With a side of fries. Bacon was cooked perfect. Just the right amount of crispy. Husband had the fish tacos. He really liked them! Fries were seasoned and delicious! Our server was sweet and the kitchen had our order out quickly. Love the ambiance! Sports with a side of class and a splash of cozy! Highly recommend!
A great sports bar with excellent food and prices. We had the Cheese stake flatbread, wings and southwest bowl. All three were very good and very reasonable prices. They have daily happy hour reducing the already reasonable prices. Good service, great food, and very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.
Passing through Mt Vernon hungry, we chose Tag's Hometown for lunch on a Sunday. This place is a gem. We started with a half order of the Macho Nachos with beef. Based upon the size of the half order, a full would be enough for four people. The queso blanco was great, the beef flavorful and we ate, and loved, every bite. We also ordered an Old Fashioned and Blueberry Lemondrop martini. Both were top quality drinks. For lunch, my wife had the Chicken Fried Chicken which was excellent. The breading and jalapeno gravy were top notch. I had the chicken sandwich. It was fantastic. The spicy cheese was perfect with just enough heat. We regularly travel with family to East Texas to Daingerfield State Park. At least three generations. We've passed through Mt Vernon on our way there every time
Big, spacious sports bar in Historic Downtown Mt. Vernon, Texas. It was very clean, nice, and organized. Missing a couple of key items we wanted, apparently they get truck on Tuesdays and can sometimes run out of items by Sunday lunch. Service was good. Our server may have been new. He seemed a little flustered. The food was fresh, hot, and tasty. The chicken fried steak was the size of my head! A very solid bar and grill food option! Everything was well seasoned, and fresh and hot! A LITTLE pricey, for bar food, but overall, a good experience! Highly recommend for a game night out!
The philly cheesesteak on toasted roll, spicy chicken sandwich, loaded fries, burger was great, onion rings were hot and crunchy! Love the sliders with jalepeno jam!! The service was excellent, and the waiter was very attentive and efficient. The food came out very quickly.
