Tacos Wow

I ordered food from a different restaurant, and they added tomatoes without my knowledge, so I ended up returning it and decided to give this place a try. Tacos Wow is located on Saticoy and Winnetka in the city of Winnetka, California. I decided to get the quesadilla con carne, which is basically carne asada in a quesadilla. It was well-cooked and seasoned to perfection, but a little too greasy at the same time. My wife ordered the asada fries, which come with carne asada, cheese, and pico de gallo on top of French fries. The fries were a little soggy for my liking, but overall everything tasted okay. It's a nice little spot to grab some very good food. Trust the salsa pairing they give you. I normally wouldn't go for the one that came with my Carne Asad burrito, but I tried it anyway, and it was perfect.

This taco place is a health hazard disguised as a restaurant—sticky tables, grimy floors, and a bathroom that looks like it gave up in 2003. The food tastes like it was microwaved straight from a gas station dumpster, with meat so dry it could double as sandpaper. It’s clear they care more about squeezing every dollar than serving anything remotely edible or safe. If you value your taste buds or your stomach lining, run—don’t walk—away from this greedy excuse for a taco joint.

Order for take out and the food is mediocre. Bland and my chorizo taco I couldn’t even eat, it’s all salt. What a waste.
