Tacos Vs. Sushi - Medina

Taco vs Sushi? Wait, what?! I’m so glad we stopped. The adorable artwork of a samurai and a Mexican singer sets the vibe right away. I had the Mongolian beef and my husband tried a Mexican chicken dish—both were tasty and the portions were generous. Definitely worth the stop. We’ll be back!

AMAZING FOOD!!! We had the Superman roll and the mango roll as pictured. The rolls were huge and priced properly. I will absolutely be going back!

This restaurant is new and has a ton of room for improvement. They are actually missing half of the menu, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY MEXICAN FOOD!! Which is actually kinda funny, but it's still going to get this placed dinged. For me, food was really good. Guy, we had waiting on us was good too. Drinks and food came out faster than expected, and presentation was very nice. I don't really have complaints about that. My issues start and end with the atmosphere, basically. As it stands now, they are a sushi bar with Japanese/Chinese food that has Mexican beer and mariachi music blasting. It's just kinda weird to me. Maybe swap up the soundtrack some, and get some neat Japanese beers like kirin itchiban on tap. Neat place for sure, and I definitely want it to succeed so I can come back 😀.

Let me say this first: The sushi here is FANTASTIC. They have a large selection, the ingredients are fresh and delicious, and the rolls are presented beautifully. The sushi here certainly whoops the tar out of anything available in Jackson, and about 98% of sushi I ever ate in the many years I lived in Nashville. I was not expecting the sushi to be as good as it was at this humble little restaurant in Medina TN of all places. It was RIGHT. As for the Mexican food, it was okay, standard American Mexican format, nothing special to be honest. But it was fine. I was tempted to dunk my California roll into our cheese dip, because I’ve never had the opportunity to do so. The restaurant was clean and designed beautifully. The sushi was absolutely incredible! So fresh! I had the Lauderdale County Roll and it was EVERYTHING! My friend had the Angry Dragon Roll and it also looked incredible. I tried to Margarita and it was garnished nicely. It wasn’t however the best marg I’ve ever had so I encourage maybe considering the pour count or a different margarita mix, maybe even the ratio. I look forward to my next visit!
