Tacker's Shake Shack

Tacker’s is a Marion institution that I found by pure luck. It’s been around since the 1980s; lots of locals were there when I arrived, which is a good sign. The building has a unique spirit, and the decor is one-of-a-kind; you have to see it to appreciate it. A good place to relax after traveling all day. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and they answered all my questions. Their menu is unique, so I had more than the usual number of questions to ask. They were very patient with me! I had the Rooster Cogburn Chicken Sandwich, which was piled so high it was hard to get it in my mouth! The side salad vegetables were fresh, and the croutons were homemade (I think). First time visit to Tacker’s! Found it on a Google search of the area for a good place to stop for milkshakes on a roadtrip passing through this area! It seemed to be in a safe area, a nice/busy gas station across the street, and had clean restrooms - and that was all before we ordered! We had a Cheesecake Smashup Shake and a Cookie Dough shake and they were both delicious and just the roadtrip snack we were looking for after a big breakfast to hold us over till a big supper! Will definitely stop again if we find ourselves traveling nearby in the future!

Food was horrible! Hoagie and shrimp were a burnt hard mess! The cheeseburger I ordered was supposed to have a bun not Texas toast but it came with toast. My husband said the burger was gross also,.just a regular burger with cheese. Just not a good first experience but will be our only time here! Never again! Idk how this place gets these good reviews.Guess people that eat here have never been outside of Arkansas. Gross!🤮 Edit..they remade my food and it was like it was supposed to look .fresh and soft. So my question is..why give someone some old burnt nasty food in the first place? Thinking I'm not gonna say anything and just eat it! What a waste of a lunch break!

Great gather place for the town. Everyone knew everyone and it felt very welcoming and the service and recommendations were great! I order the 4 oz country fried steak, fried okra and Mac and cheese and also got a banana pudding milk shake! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!

After seeing the photos on Google and reviews, I decided to try it out. This was a HUGE MISTAKE! My order consisted of the Elvis burger, the chili cheese burger and fries. First off, they didn't have any fritos so it was just a burger with chili without much flavor and plain soggy. Elvis would be rolling in his grave if he saw what I was served. There was a small spat of blue cheese on an overly smashed burger and they didn't even put on the grilled onions! Only good thing about this place is the retro esthetic. Stay away from this place as you're better off throwing your money onto the street.
