Swimming Pool

Our Son became a lifeguard so he could show his service to the community for his FFA, we had a scheduled vacation and he had to have someone cover his shifts which he finally found, they scheduled him to work before we came back from vacation and when we returned they told him he was fired ! Now he spent $ 150 dollars of his own money because they made him get certified while I had to drive him back and forth to Princeton for a week my fuel money and time . I purchased his swimwear and accessories need another expense and bought him a bike to ride across town to be there. All of his Certification and work wear should be paid for by the city and they should provide a trained person here in our town to certify these kids as lifeguards ! The water slide has been rigged with a ratchet strap after the park Dept received over 100 thousand dollars to repair and paint the aquatic center last year. I see no changes except for the price of admission and the fact that other attractions here are failing to deliver the fun that people are paying for. Some music is extremely inappropriate for young children. Lots of space in the pool is limited. Where did the funds go for the repairs? The park Dept said this county could not afford a dog park because ALL the money goes to this run down pool. No improvements since last year when they claimed to receive the funds for repairs. The prices are ridiculous for the short time a person has to swim.

I went to the Trenton Family Aquatic Center to have a good time with my family, but my expectations were gone once we spent only an hour there. Lifeguards not doing their job properly. Some having phones on stand, sitting incorrectly, not watching kids to see if they are safe. Very unsanitary, black mold on in the restroom and surrounding the pool area as well. The last straw for me was when my son fell and hurt his head (bleeding) and the lifeguard did nothing about it.

We use the pool mainly for their adult swim, from 12:00 to one, but we're planning to take our grandkids next time they're up. The kid's pool area looks like fun. The staff is always polite and helpful, too.

FAMILY. The name says it. 👍🏻 We were here for 3 hours on a Monday afternoon. The atmosphere felt geared towards having fun with family. The lifeguards were on task at every station. There certain "routes" you have to take in order to get to the entrance of slides, ropes course etc, which helps eliminate people running around. The splash area is great and the zero entry/wadding pool was a great space to be with your kiddos or just sit in th cool water. Plenty of shade and lounge seats around the pool. Concession area👍🏻 Lots of space in the restrooms. 5 or 6 bathroom stalls and showers, benches to keep your stuff dry.
