Swig Restaurant

Hit up Swig on our travels west as we were staying close by. The place was very busy on a Wednesday night and we had to wait for a table for about 15 min, so we had a drink at the bar. Nutty Old Fashioned was OK, but the nut flavor was very artificial. Got seated in the warm closed in outside area pretty quickly. Menu is kind of basic, sandwiches, brats, etc... I ordered the burger special cooked medium well and it came out pretty raw. I don't usually like to send my food back, but this situation required it. The manager came out and apologized, which was really nice! and the replaced burger was very good. AND then he took the cost of the burger off our bill. That's good service! Food prices in general were very reasonable.

Wait staff very kind and friendly, the way dining out should be. I had the reuben. I rolled eyes at the price $17.50 BUT once it came out, it was worth it. The marbled bread was perfectly toasted and not loaded with butter. The Kraut was strained, no extra water to soggy up the bread. JUST the right amount of sauce, covering the corned beef. The Kraft to beef ratio was perfect. Good stuff at Swig!

Came here tonight from over an hour away to celebrate my birthday and it was definitely worth the drive! Food was amazing! We even got some sausages to take home. Service was great! We will be back!!

Went to swig for the first time yesterday. I was celebrating my birthday with a friend. I purchased the chicken crunch wrap and shared their french fries and sweet potato tots with my friend. We both got a chocolate bacon sundae for dessert. I enjoyed the food very much. The french fries were particularly tasty. This is the first time I have had sweet potato tots and they were delicious with and without the dipping sauce. Although I was skeptical about a chocolate covered bacon strip. I decided that my curiosity would win over my hesitation. The first bite or two was a little startling. But I realized I enjoyed it much better when there was a little bit of ice cream on the bacon. We sat in the enclosed, heated patio area and the beautiful Christmas trees really made the atmosphere festive.

We were passing through on a road trip, & based on the Google reviews, we decided to have dinner here. We were not disappointed, the service was great (we sat at their bar) & the food was excellent. I had the caramel apple salad (maybe it was seasonal, this was October ) and it was so delicious. There were Granny Smith apples & a caramel vinaigrette dressing that was perfect.
