We went to this place as a large group of 16 people. The food and service were excellent. The restaurant interior was fine as well but the lights were so dim that you couldn’t see the food. The piranha steak and the lamb pops were a hit. The appetizers were delicious. It was a beautiful day in Austin to enjoy the food and good company.
Weekend getaway in Austin, came here on a friends recommendation. Ambience - very cool building, brick style industrial, cool paintings, old wood. Had reservations, but decided to just sit at the bar as we liked the look. Service - We were helped right away, but then it slowly got worse. Even there were several people working behind the bar area, we had to flag them down if we wanted anything…they did not keep checking on us. Food and drink selection - we were given several different menus…food, happy hour, signature drinks, etc. No wine listed, so that was yet another menu we had to ask for. Lots of paperwork, the person next to us had dropped several of their own, since there are so many to look through. A very annoying thing on the food menu was we really couldn’t understand wha
Had a great dinner! All the dishes were smaller portions by design so you can share. Different concept where you can order a variety for yourself or take a bite or two and pass it around. You can ask for another round of your favorites as we did! Everything we ordered was deliciously on point. Some we had to have more so we doubled up on the broccoli, bread and beef dishes.
A big shout out to Swift’s Attic for an incredible introduction to their new Executive Chef Nay Castillo. If you’re looking for flavors that pop with clear identity, Chef Castillo puts a lot of dimensions (sweet, sour, bitter, cold, crunchy, hot, melty, crispy) in each of the dishes. The big test was whether my wife’s sophisticated palate would enjoy it, and it’s a testament that we walked away a happy and very full family. What an amazing dinner and service! Our favorites were the hamachi crudo, lamb pops, and fried chicken. My son demolished the edamame with multi-salts and pop rocks. We had an amazing time. Go check out Swift’s Attic and Chef Castillo’s new menu!
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The server was so friendly. Specially when we said we’re vegan. Best part Chef Nay went out of her way to mark everything vegan. And no we are not the picky vegans either. So they did it just because they’re nice. The food itself blew our mind. Chef should be considered for a Michelin star for sure.
