Go here right now! Swell is perfect for a good meal to take to the beach or after a day or more on the Lost Coast Trail. Delicious homemade food with attention to detail using high quality ingredients. The pastry of their pocket pies is so delicate and flaky even though it has no butter. The pastries are small and fun to order one or two of each filling and share. The homemade soup was so good! thick and flavorful. The hibiscus cooler was so refreshing and nicely balanced. Salad and sushi for dine in or to go was a cool option too. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a knowing smile by a member of this family operated restaurant. Super yummy! I’ve had the tofu, spring rolls, a hand pie, and sesame noodles. Love the grab and go case this summer. Also the organic soft serve ice cream with house made waffle cone is really good. 🍦

Four friends and I rolled into Swell feeling a little dirty and very hungry after hiking the Lost Coast. It was such a lovely return to civilization! Between all of us, we tried every one of the pies. My favorite was the broccoli gouda. We also got some sushi, iced tea, and ice cream. I definitely recommend getting the waffle cone. There were also a lot of healthy and veg-friendly options. Swell is exactly the type of place you hope to find on vacation- locally owned and full of homemade treats.

I grew up in NYC and ate lots of Carvel soft serve ice cream. Lately, I was DREAMING about things I miss, and Lo & Behold...a new fine eatery opened nearby-Swell!!! They have artisan quality Strauss creamery soft serve and I fell in Love at first bite! I will be there lots and the food is very fresh and creatively prepared. I had the glassy prawn roll with edible flowers and peanut sauce! I Am SO Happy Swell exists!!! BRAVO!!!
