Came here for lunch today. Kind off the beaten path. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with limited parking. If you have a truck the parking will be more difficult. The restaurant is your typical hole in the wall establishment which is where the locals go. A steady stream of regulars were walking in with to go orders. The chicken meal caught my eye. Specifically the 3 pc chicken wing meal with 2 sides, corn bread and a drink. My wife got the chicken finger meal. We both got the Mac-N-cheese and collard greens. The MAC was absolutely loaded with cheese. I hate to say this but it had too much cheese in it. My wife only ate a few bites. The collard greens made up for it, seasoned very well. Chef Deshaun the baby of the bunch...Chef Mark the baker, Chef Mike the owner's nephew, and Meitta keeps them all in line . In business for 6 years Regulars told me to try the fish, lima beans, greens and yams.... Great tableside manner.... .had me laughing the whole time I was there. Gave me cornbread to go with my grits.. Fresh homecooked food made to order. Another regular told me to try the seared porkchops..... ...next time. Definitely coming back here!!! Keep up the great cooking gentlemen. Omg...I could not put the greens down...lima beans so tender and flavorful. Mac n cheese on point. The shrimp didn't even need sauce...sooo tasty. Omgosh...the butter pecan cake. so moist and fulfilling. The cheese grits melted n my mouth....the fish so tender and full of flavor.

I thoroughly enjoyed Sweet Mama's! When you walk up to the door, the aromas of the food draws you in. It smelled so good in there. It smelt like the food tasted good, and they did not disappoint. Everything was seasoned well and flavorful. We ordered oxtails (good portion size given), turkey wings, sauced and fried whole wings, fried ribs, yams, collard greens, yellow rice, cabbage(yummy), strawberry cake, and sweet potato pie. The only small issue i had was that the collard greens were not super tender. They cooked have been cooked a little longer and they were the least flavorful of everything. The chicken, fish, oxtail, greens, potato salad, fries, macaroni and cheese, cherry lime drink was amazing. When I come back to Jacksonville Florida I will definitely return. Me and my family loved the food, the service was amazing.

Staff is very pleasant. Quick service. Food was on point. The sweet potato pie is to die for!! Unmatchable! ❤️❤️ I need that recipe!! 😋🤤
