I am so happy this bakery and its wonderful owner have found a home at McChord. Hello Cupcake in downtown Tacoma had been our family’s favorite cupcake bakery for decades until it closed a few years ago. We were left without a cupcake bakery for special occasions such as birthdays and graduations until the day I arrived home with several varieties of LaTasha’s cupcakes… carrot cake, vanilla, chocolate, and chocolate peanut butter. With the first bite of each, I knew the flavors, the textures, the beautiful presentation of each perfect cupcake far surpassed any cupcake ever!

Enjoyed red velvet cupcakes and a sweet potato pie for a Friendsgiving recently. How perfect. The cupcakes were not too sweet and were perfectly moist. The cream cheese icing was just enough sweetness and wasn’t just thrown onto the cupcake. It was perfectly piped with little crumbles of cake on top for an extra touch. The sweet potato pie was also a favorite. Not to heavy on the nutmeg and perfect when heated for 10 seconds before eating. I look forward to supporting her in a few months when my parents come to visit. Forgot to snap a picture so here’s me taking some to work!

Attention, ladies and gentlemen. Please do not walk, but run over and get you some sweet confections by Latasha. Everything is made with love. I have had the cupcakes. The banana pudding, the sweet potato pie, pumpkin pie. In all of my adult years it is the best that I’ve ever tasted. Her sweets are so moist and delicious flavorful. I kept complementing her because I couldn’t believe what I was tasting. In addition to her sweets are delicious. Latasha is so sweet, very professional. Her kids are sweet as well. The experience was more than five stars. You will not be disappointed. Thank you!

I bought a vanilla cupcake from this bakery today and OMG is it good! the cake has a very good flavor to it and the frosting is airy and delicious. I am glad we finally have something like this bakery on McChord.

I usually don't like carrot cake but the cupcakes from here are delish!!! The frosting was just right. Not too sweet. Will definitely be back to try other flavors. Thank y'all!
