Swamp Shack Lake Jackson

Brought my family here for the first time! When first walking in, I was impressed. The workers go way above and beyond for you, they are always kind and generous people, definitely make you feel welcomed and valued. The pricing is matching to the meal, definitely get your moneys worth. I ordered 10 Jumbo shrimp basket with fries, and a large Root beer, the jumbo shrimp were perfect, probably the best I’ve had in this area. Fries were also cooked to perfection, not too crunchy and not over salted. My daughter had a kids shrimp basket and absolutely loved it too! Was her first time ever trying that type of food, her reaction to her first bite was an audible “MMMMM!!” Highly recommended, great family place with high energy and amazing food.

Super friendly staff! The young lady who seated me and recommended the corndog and fries was awesome. Great service, great food—I’ll definitely be back! I also had the queso crawfish dip, and the popcorn shrimp po’boy—everything was delicious!

Upon entering it was inviting . Food was delicious. Service was incredible. Such a variety even if your not a seafood lover. I will return! Ask for Trey

The half shell "fresh" oysters were very fishy smelling and took a lot of lemon, horse radish and hot sauce's to get through. The oyster thing's not hard. Keep them fresh, if you offer them, and make sure they are cleaned correctly when presented to the customer. Fish smell, algae with muscles still on the shell is neither fresh nor clean. The boudin links are fantastic!! Large, well flavored and a reasonable price. The bartender was nice and very attentive. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Definitely way more sanitary than a true Cajun Shell Shack with beer. I just can't excuse offering bad food to customers at a price.

If you haven’t tried the cobbler here, you are seriously missing out—it’s amazing! Every single thing we’ve ordered, from the rich and flavorful crawfish étouffée to the refreshing drinks, has been spot-on every time. It’s become our go-to spot anytime we’re in town! The lunch specials are a steal—great portions for the price, and perfect for a midday treat. Plus, it’s super kid-friendly, which makes it even better for a family outing. Can’t recommend it enough!
