Sushi Boy Japanese Restaurant

My wife and I went for a late lunch. There was no customer there at 2:30 pm and the kitchen was closed. Our menu option is limited to the sushi bar. We ordered 4 different rolls. Boy! They were delicious. The rice was fresh and soft. One bite into the tuna volcano, you feel the tuna and the rice immediately melt in your mouth. No need to say more we finished every bit of sushi. This was the first time the food was prepared by the Japanese chief/owner. The place is cozy and small (7 tables) surrounded by many house plants. I found this eating establishment is very welcoming!!

Quick service and delicious sushi! Ordered a la carte and the presentation was excellent. The spicy tuna roll had a perfect amount of spice but the mackerel roll was my favorite!

Below mediocre food and service to match. Very unwelcoming, you feel as if you are interrupting. The miso soup didn’t have seaweed or tofu, and was OLD. The rice was almost a paste, the fish was barely noticeable. They need higher standards.

It’s not okay to see 4.2 stars for this location. I don’t wanna be rude. But the rice is old, sushi is not even holding together itself. Sweet potato is not real sweet potato. I guess it’s regular potato 🥔 First and last time order I guess.

Awesome place I love coming here with my family. Amazing food. 10 out of 10. I would always recommend best sushi place in New Jersey. Everything is awesome, including the pickled ginger
