SURF SUBS

As a North Jersey native, I had to try this "Jersey-inspired" spot. The subs were decent but didn't quite hit that authentic Italian deli level—good, but not great. The menu is very small, and the experience was a mixed bag. The young girl working was very sweet, but the owner at the counter was a bit rude. Most importantly: watch out for the picnic tables. They were swarming with ants, making them unusable. We had to move to the small tables out front just to eat without a struggle. Solid sandwich if you're in a rush, but the outdoor area needs some TLC.

Came in starving and ordered the Fuggedaboutit. Absolute monster of a sandwich. Ricotta, bacon, chicken, pesto, hot long peppers, and Mike’s Hot Honey. Sweet, spicy, salty perfection. Big enough to split and still be full. Chill beachy vibe, super friendly staff, and got to meet the owner Mike and hear the story behind the shop. Love supporting places like this.

The subs were HUGE, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. Our Italian subs tasted great and the bread was perfection. The potato salad on the side was excellent as well and a perfect complement to the sandwich. My son ordered the meatball parm and completely devoured it, which says everything you need to know. In addition to the amazing food, the staff was so very friendly, which made the experience even better. Today’s weather was great so we enjoyed sitting at their covered picnic table outside. Generous portions, great flavors, and a wonderful atmosphere…we’ll definitely be back.

First time here, definitely not the last!! Not exaggerating .. the bread is the best sandwich bread I’ve ever had.. Had the fuggeaboutitt special and some home made chili .. with the perfect kick and real garlic and spices inside Jack & the team was warm and welcoming as if I entered into my own Italian family’s kitchen

We ordered the Cuban because the cheesesteak was sold out, and we’re so glad we did! It was absolutely delicious with a huge portion. The owners are great—very friendly and personable, which makes the experience even better. We would highly recommend Surf Subs and will definitely be back!
